Joseph Lavetsky, Esq. is an attorney living and practicing law in New York. He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science from the State University of New York, Buffalo and a Juris Doctorate from Emory University Law School in Atlanta, GA, with a focus on immigration law and international law.

Upon passing the New York State Bar Exam in 2012, Joseph began work at a busy immigration legal services organization, where he successfully assisted hundreds of New Yorkers apply for naturalization, adjust their status to green card holders, and sponsor their family members back home to come to the U.S. He eventually moved with his family to the Hudson Valley of New York (Dutchess County) and started Beacon Immigration PLLC.

Joseph greatly enjoys the practice of immigration law and helping people realize their dreams. Many of the most important people in Joseph’s life are immigrants. His wife (whose green card he sponsored) and children are citizens of the Dominican Republic, which they visit at least once per year. 

When he’s not busy working to help his clients, he enjoys hiking the beautiful trails and mountains of the Hudson Valley, visiting new countries, trying new foods, reading, and spending time with his family.
